Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly comes from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. With a deep-rooted passion for family law, Ashley's current legal practice is centered around a variety of aspects of family law. She concentrates her practice on divorce cases, alimony disputes, marital property division and child custody battles as well as child support arrangements. She also handles post-divorce enforcement and post-divorce issues including step-parent adoptions as well as private party adoptions, as well as concerns about child welfare. Ashley has been a court-appointed mediator since the year. She assists parties in resolving their disputes without the need for court or litigation involvement. In addition to mediations that are court-appointed, Ashley also mediates in private matters for those who want to stay clear of the litigation and court process.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. Then, she pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. She graduated in 2013 and was placed among the top 10 students of her class. During her time in law school, Ashley served as a Note Editor for the prestigious Western New England Law Review and demonstrated her dedication to legal research and scholarship.

Following the completion of her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship, working for prominent jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She was privileged to be working as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. In 2014, she returned to Hagerstown, Maryland, to serve as a law clerk for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. In 2015, Ashley joined the esteemed law firm of Poole & Kane, P.A. As an associate attorney. Her main focus within the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases involving child welfare. Through her tireless efforts, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who had suffered abuse or neglect at the hands of their parents or caregivers. Her dedication to social justice went beyond her legal profession as she was active as an officer of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force, which worked hard to increase awareness of human trafficking in the tri-state area.

In 2017, she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the area of family law such as divorce, child support, custody and guardianships - as well as estate planning, wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directive/healthcare proxies and mediation.

Ashley founded Wilburn Law Office, LLC 2023 with the aim of providing a personalized approach for every client's needs.
