Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's practice in law is centered around family law. She has a love for it. She concentrates her practice on divorce cases, alimony matters, marital property division and child custody battles as well as child support arrangements. She also deals with post-divorce and enforcement issues including step-parent adoptions as well as private party adoptions, as and concerns regarding child welfare. In addition to family law, Ashley also handles estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, probate and estate administration in addition to commercial contracts, civil litigation cases. Ashley has been a court-appointed mediator since 2019. She assists parties in resolving their disputes without the necessity of litigation or court involvement. In addition to mediations that are court-appointed, Ashley also mediates in private cases for individuals who want to stay clear of the court process and litigation.

After finishing her undergraduate education at Loyola University of Maryland, where she received two bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science, Ashley pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. Graduating in 2013, she excelled in her studies, placing among the top 10 students in her class. While at law school, Ashley served as a Note Editor for the esteemed Western New England Law Review which showcased her dedication to legal research and scholarship.

Ashley began her clerkship journey after completing her law degree. She was employed by renowned jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She was privileged to serve as a law assistant to the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. In 2014, she returned home to Hagerstown Maryland to work as an attorney for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. As an associate attorney. The primary goal of the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters that involved child welfare. Through her tireless efforts, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who had suffered neglect or abuse at the hands of their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to social injustice went beyond her legal profession as she served as a member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She was a tireless worker to educate the public about human trafficking within the tri-state region.

In 2017, she was a founding member at Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and developed her practice in family law - custody, divorce guardianships, child maintenance and divorce – as well as estate and financial planning – wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy and mediation.

Ashley founded Wilburn Law Office, LLC, 2023, with the intention of providing a customized approach to each client's needs.
