Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly comes from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal practice is centered around family law. She has a passion for it. She focuses her practice on divorce cases, alimony matters, marital property division fights over child custody and child support arrangements. She also handles post-divorce enforcement and post-divorce issues, step-parent adoptions and private adoptions for parties as and concerns regarding child welfare. Ashley has served as a mediator appointed by a court since the year, assisting parties in helping to resolve their issues without need for litigation and court involvement. Ashley mediates private disputes and also court-appointed mediation for individuals who want to avoid the court process and litigation.

After finishing her undergraduate education at Loyola University of Maryland, where she earned dual Bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science, Ashley pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. When she graduated in 2013, she excelled in her studies, placing among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was an editor at the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This demonstrated her commitment to scholarship and legal research.

After completing her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship program, working with prominent jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She had the privilege of working as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. In 2014, she returned to Hagerstown Maryland to work as an attorney for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. In 2015, Ashley joined the esteemed law firm of Poole & Kane, P.A. as an associate attorney. Her main responsibilities at the firm involved representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases involving child welfare. Ashley's dedicated efforts played a significant role in helping children who were victims of in the face of neglect or abuse at hands their parents or caregivers. Her dedication to social justice spanned beyond her legal practice as she actively served as an executive member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force, which worked hard to increase awareness of human trafficking in the tri-state area.

In 2017 she was a founding partner at Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and began her practice in family law - custody, divorce and child maintenance as well as guardianships and financial and estate planning, wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxies and mediation.

Ashley established Wilburn Law Office, LLC, 2023, with the intention of providing a customized approach to each client's need.
